Ahi Steak
Method
Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Ahi Steak
Pat the Ahi tuna steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
Coat with Furikake
Evenly coat both sides of the Ahi tuna steaks with Furikake seasoning, pressing gently to ensure it adheres.
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Cook the Tuna
Add the Ahi tuna steaks to the hot skillet. Sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, 3-4 minutes for medium, or 5-6 minutes for well done, depending on your preference.
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
