Method

Espresso Preparation

  1. 1

    Grind Coffee Beans

Grind 18 grams of espresso coffee beans to a fine consistency using a coffee grinder.

  2. 2

    Brew Espresso

Using an espresso machine, add the ground coffee to the portafilter and tamp it down firmly. Attach the portafilter to the machine and start brewing with 60 ml of water. Brew until you have a rich espresso shot.

Cappuccino Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare Espresso

Use the brewed espresso from the previous section (30 ml) as the base for the cappuccino.

  2. 4

    Steam and Foam Milk

Pour 90 ml of milk into a steaming pitcher. Steam the milk using the steam wand of your espresso machine until hot and frothy. Then, use the same wand to create foam by introducing air into the milk.

  3. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a cappuccino cup, pour the 30 ml of brewed espresso first. Then, spoon the foamed milk on top to achieve equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and foam.

  4. 6

    Garnish

Dust the top of the cappuccino with 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder for added flavor and presentation.

Latte Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare Espresso

Use the brewed espresso from the espresso section (30 ml) as the base for the latte.

  2. 8

    Steam Milk

Pour 150 ml of milk into a steaming pitcher. Steam the milk until hot and silky smooth, ensuring it's not too frothy.

  3. 9

    Combine Ingredients

In a latte cup, pour the 30 ml of brewed espresso first. Then, pour the steamed milk over the espresso, leaving just a little space for 10 ml of milk foam on top.

  4. 10

    Finish

Add the milk foam on top of the latte to enhance the texture and presentation.
