Chicken Tenders

Method

Chicken Tenders

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast fillets into strips, about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second bowl, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in the third bowl.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, then into the egg, and finally coat it well with the breadcrumb mixture.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan, heat 2 cups of cooking oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 7

    Soak the Fries

Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 8

    Heat the Oil for Fries

In a separate pan, heat 2 cups of cooking oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  4. 9

    Fry the Fries

Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with a paper towel. Carefully add them to the hot oil and fry in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 10

    Season the Fries

While fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
