Prepare the Clams
Rinse the Manila clams under cold water to remove any sand or debris. Set aside.

Cook the Bacon
In a large pot over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove the bacon, crumble it, and set aside. Leave the bacon fat in the pot.

Add Potatoes and Broth
Stir in the diced potatoes, vegetable broth, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.

Add Clams and Cream
Add the rinsed clams and heavy cream to the pot. Simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes until the clams open up.

Season and Serve
Stir in the paprika and crumbled bacon. Adjust seasoning to taste. Garnish with chopped chives before serving.
