Shrimp Preparation
Cook the Shrimp
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Hush Puppies
In a bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, combine beaten egg, milk, and chopped green onion. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Heat oil in a deep pan. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Plating
Serve the Dish
On a plate, serve a portion of the shrimp alongside the heirloom potatoes and hush puppies. Enjoy your Gulf Shrimp Plate!
