Steak and Fries

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Peel and cut the potatoes into fry shapes. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually whisk in the beer until you achieve a smooth batter. Dip each fry into the batter and place on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the battered potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Chimichurri

In a food processor, combine parsley, garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Pulse until mixed but still a bit chunky. Season with salt to taste.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  5. 5

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve it over a generous portion of the beer-battered fries. Drizzle with chimichurri sauce and enjoy!
