Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Peel the potatoes and cut them into fries. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry with a towel.

  2. 2

    Make the Beer Batter

In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth.

  3. 3

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Dip the fries in the beer batter and fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Loaded Fries

Layer the crispy fries on a serving plate. Sprinkle melted cheddar cheese over the fries, followed by cooked bacon pieces, and chopped green onions.

  5. 5

    Add Toppings

Top with a generous dollop of sour cream and serve with salsa on the side. If desired, add grilled jalapenos on top.
