DRINKS

  1. 1

    Toast the baguette

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the baguette lengthwise and place on a baking sheet. Lightly toast 3–4 minutes until warm and just crisp.

  2. 2

    Prepare burrata and tomatoes

Gently drain burrata if needed. Slice heirloom tomatoes into ¼-inch (0.6 cm) thick slices.

  3. 3

    Base preparation

Split the baguette and lightly brush both cut sides with a tablespoon of olive oil.

  4. 4

    Layer burrata

Tear burrata into chunks and spread on the bottom half of the baguette.

  5. 5

    Add tomatoes and basil

Layer tomato slices over the burrata and scatter basil leaves over the tomatoes.

  6. 6

    Season and finish

Drizzle remaining olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and drizzle optional balsamic glaze if desired.

  7. 7

    Serve

Close the baguette, slice into portions, and serve immediately.
