  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugars

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

  5. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. 6

    Fold in Chocolate Chips

Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.

  7. 7

    Shape and Bake

Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

  8. 8

    Cool

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. 11

    Mix Sugars and Eggs

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  4. 12

  7. 15

    Prepare Baking Pan

Grease and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  8. 16

    Bake

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  9. 17

    Cool and Cut

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Let cool completely, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
