Method
Prepare Lemonade Base
- 1
Juicing the Lemons
Roll the lemons on a countertop to soften them. Cut them in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or a manual juicer until you have approximately 1 cup of lemon juice.
- 2
Mixing Sugar and Water
In a large pitcher, combine the 2 cups of granulated sugar with 2 cups of warm water. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 3
Combining Ingredients
Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the sugar-water mixture. Then, add the remaining 10 cups of cold water to the mixture and stir well to combine.
Chill and Serve
- 4
Chilling the Lemonade
Place the pitcher of lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to chill thoroughly before serving.
- 5
Preparing to Serve
When ready to serve, fill each cup with ice cubes. Pour the chilled lemonade over the ice, leaving some space at the top.
- 6
Garnishing
Garnish each cup with a slice of lemon and a few mint leaves for a refreshing touch.
