Method
Prepare Tofu

Press Tofu
Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top for about 15 minutes.

Slice Tofu
Once pressed, slice the tofu into 1-inch thick steaks.

Marinate Tofu
In a shallow dish, combine soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the tofu steaks and marinate for at least 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Cook Tofu

Heat Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 2 tbsp of olive oil.

Sauté Tofu
Place marinated tofu steaks in the hot skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Prepare Mushroom Topping

Add Sauce
Stir in 1 tbsp of soy sauce and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Prepare Miyos Ginger Miso Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, whisk together miso paste, grated ginger, water, and sesame oil until smooth and well combined.
Assemble Plate

Plate Tofu
Place the sautéed tofu steaks on a plate.

Add Toppings
Top each tofu steak with the sautéed mushrooms and sprinkle with sliced green onions.

Drizzle Sauce
Drizzle the Miyos ginger miso sauce over the tofu and serve immediately.
