Burger Assembly

Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine ground Angus beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until thoroughly combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and form into burger patties, about ¾ inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each burger patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Homemade Bourbon Pineapple BBQ Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, bourbon, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 5

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Add the Patty and Toppings

Place a cooked burger patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with homemade bourbon pineapple BBQ sauce, followed by shredded cheese, bacon bits, crispy onions, sliced tomato, sliced onion, and lettuce.

  3. 8

    Complete the Burger

Place the top half of the bun on the burger and serve immediately.
