In a mixing bowl, combine ground Angus beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until thoroughly combined.

Shape the Patties
Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and form into burger patties, about ¾ inch thick.

Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, bourbon, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Simmer the Sauce
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
Assemble the Burger

Toast the Buns
Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Place a cooked burger patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with homemade bourbon pineapple BBQ sauce, followed by shredded cheese, bacon bits, crispy onions, sliced tomato, sliced onion, and lettuce.
