Beef Marinade

Vegetable Toppings

Method

Marinating the Beef

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Beef

Place the beef flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Cooking the Beef

  1. 3

    Grill the Beef

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade, letting excess marinade drip off. Grill the beef for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.

  2. 4

    Rest the Beef

Once cooked, remove the beef from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.

Preparing the Vegetables

  1. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium heat, add a little oil. Add sliced bell peppers, onion, and julienned carrots. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Serving the Dish

  1. 6

    Assemble the Loco

On a plate, place a generous serving of cooked rice. Top with sliced beef and sautéed vegetables. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and additional chopped green onions on top for garnish.

  2. 7

    Enjoy!

Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Teri Beef Loco!
