Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Broccoli

Bring a pot of water to a boil and place a steamer basket over it. Add the broccoli florets to the basket and cover. Steam for about 5-7 minutes until tender but vibrant green. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Opakapaka

In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Rub this mixture all over the Opakapaka fillets evenly.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Steam the Fish

Place the seasoned Opakapaka fillets in the steamer basket or on a plate that fits in the basket. Steam the fish over the boiling water for about 8-10 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  1. 4

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, create a bed with the steamed broccoli. Carefully place the steamed Opakapaka fillets on top of the broccoli. Optionally, drizzle with additional lime juice before serving.
