Method

Prepare the Salad

  1. 1

    Wash and Chop Vegetables

Rinse the mixed salad greens under cold water and dry them thoroughly. Halve the cherry tomatoes, slice the cucumber into rounds, and thinly slice the red onion.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the salad greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. Toss gently to mix the vegetables evenly.

Cook the Steak

  1. 3

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides. Let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat. Cook the steak to your desired doneness: approximately 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust time for other doneness levels. Use a meat thermometer if needed (130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium, 160°F for well-done).

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

  4. 6

    Slice the Steak

After resting, slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.

Combine and Serve

  1. 7

    Add Steak to Salad

Top the salad with the sliced steak.

  2. 8

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle ranch dressing over the salad and steak. Toss gently to combine, ensuring all ingredients are coated.

  3. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately while the steak is warm.
