Base

Ahi Poke

Method

Prepare the Base

  1. 1

    Cook the Jasmine Rice

In a medium saucepan, combine 1.5 cups of jasmine rice and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 10 minutes.

Prepare the Steak Poke

  1. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Thinly slice the sirloin steak against the grain. In a bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, diced green onions, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, and salt. Add the sliced steak and mix well. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.

Prepare the Ahi Poke

  1. 3

    Marinate the Ahi Tuna

Cut the ahi tuna into small cubes. In a separate bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of lime juice, diced avocado, chopped cilantro, and sea salt. Add the tuna cubes and gently mix. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to marinate.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 4

    Slice the Vegetables

Julienne the cucumber, radishes, and carrots. Set aside.

  2. 5

    Prepare Nori

Cut the nori sheet into strips using scissors or a knife.

Assemble the Bowl

  1. 6

    Build Your Poke Bowl

In a large bowl, place a generous scoop of jasmine rice or toss salad as the base. Top with marinated steak poke and ahi poke. Arrange the sliced vegetables on top and sprinkle with nori strips. Drizzle with additional soy sauce if desired.
