Method

Cooking Rice

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

In a medium saucepan, combine the jasmine rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Simmer the Rice

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.

Cooking Steak

  1. 3

    Season the Steak

While the rice is cooking, season the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 4

    Sear the Steak

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side (for medium-rare), depending on thickness. Remove from skillet and let it rest.

Cooking Garlic Lemon Butter Shrimp

  1. 5

    Cook the Shrimp

In the same skillet used for the steak, add butter and let it melt over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 6

    Finish the Shrimp

Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and cooked through. Stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley before serving.

Making Mac Salad

  1. 7

    Cook the Macaroni

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add macaroni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.

  2. 8

    Mix the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the cooled macaroni, mayonnaise, chopped celery, grated carrot, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
