Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty Mixture

In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the mixture into a round patty about 1/2 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Heat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat until hot.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patty

Place the patty on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Add the cheese slice on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the burger bun halves on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of the bun, add the lettuce, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Preparing the Fries

  1. 7

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a deep saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt to taste.

Serving the Beverage

  1. 10

    Serve the Soda

Open the can of soda and pour it into a glass filled with ice, if desired.
