Salmon

Furikake Sauce

Wasabi Mayonnaise

Method

Prepare the Salmon

  1. 1

    Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Drizzle olive oil over the fillets and season with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Salmon

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin side down and cook for about 5-6 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip the fillets and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.

Make the Furikake Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine the Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together the nori flakes, sesame seeds, bonito flakes, soy sauce, and mirin until well combined.

Prepare the Wasabi Mayonnaise

  1. 4

    Mix the Mayonnaise

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and wasabi paste. Stir until the wasabi is evenly distributed throughout the mayonnaise.

Prepare the Sides

  1. 5

    Prepare the Garlic Sauteed Vegetables

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and stir for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add mixed vegetables and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, toss the mixed greens with your choice of dressing. Serve alongside the salmon.

Assemble the Dish

  1. 7

    Plate the Salmon

Place each salmon fillet on a serving plate. Drizzle with furikake sauce, then add a dollop of wasabi mayonnaise on top.

  2. 8

    Garnish

Sprinkle with tobiko and sliced green onions. Serve with a choice of rice or fried potato slices, garlic sautéed vegetables, and green salad.
