Burger Patty

Homemade Bread & Butter Pickles

Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Garlic Aioli

  1. 4

    Make the Aioli

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Homemade Bread & Butter Pickles

  1. 5

    Prepare the Pickles

In a large bowl, combine sliced cucumbers and onion. Set aside.

  2. 6

    Make the Pickling Liquid

In a saucepan, combine white vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, turmeric, and the cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar and salt.

  3. 7

    Pickle the Cucumbers

Pour the hot pickling liquid over the cucumber and onion mixture. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, preferably overnight.

Fries

  1. 8

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a bowl, toss cut potatoes with olive oil, salt, and paprika until evenly coated.

  2. 9

    Bake the Fries

Spread the fries out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
