Burger Ingredients

Macaroni Salad (or Toss Salad)

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground beef or plant-based burger patties with soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Form into two even patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach the desired doneness.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Prepare the Nori

Lay out the nori sheets on a flat surface. If desired, you can slightly toast them over low heat for added flavor.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Place a cooked patty on one nori sheet. Add sliced avocado, shredded carrots, cucumber slices, and sriracha sauce. If adding cheese, place a slice on top of the patty before adding the toppings. Fold the nori sheet over the fillings to create a wrap.

Macaroni Salad Preparation

  1. 5

    Cook the Macaroni

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water.

  2. 6

    Mix the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, mayonnaise, diced celery, chopped pickles, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well to combine and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
