Cooking the Steak

Prepare the Steak
Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Cook the Steak
In a skillet or grill pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until cooked to your preference. Remove from heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Green Salad

Prepare the Salad Ingredients
Wash and dry the mixed greens. Halve the cherry tomatoes and slice the cucumber.

Make the Salad
In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss gently to combine.
Cooking Garlic Sautéed Vegetables

Prepare the Vegetables
Slice the bell pepper and zucchini. Mince the garlic.

Sauté the Vegetables
In a separate skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, then add the sliced bell pepper and zucchini. Cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Cooking Rice or French Fries

Prepare the Rice
If using rice, rinse 1 cup of white rice under cold water. In a pot, add the rinsed rice and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes until the water is absorbed.

If using frozen French fries, cook according to package instructions, typically in the oven or fryer until golden brown.
