Method

Steak and Topping

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the New York steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let it rest.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms and Onions

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté sliced mushrooms and chopped onions until they are soft and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Top the rested steak with this mixture.

Shrimp

  1. 4

    Prepare the Breading Station

Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with bread crumbs.

  2. 5

    Bread the Shrimp

Dredge each shrimp in flour, dip it into the beaten egg, and then coat it with bread crumbs.

  3. 6

    Fry the Shrimp

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Salad

  1. 7

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette and toss to coat.

Garlic Sautéed Vegetables

  1. 8

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic, chopped zucchini, and sliced bell pepper. Sauté until vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Carbohydrate Option

  1. 9

    Prepare Carbohydrate

Cook rice according to package instructions or fry French fries until golden and crispy.
