Burger Patties

Method

Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties that are slightly larger than the burger buns.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Add cheese slices on top during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Burger Assembly

  1. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 5

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  3. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the bun, spread 2 tablespoons of Thousand Island dressing. Place one patty on top, followed by lettuce, grilled onions, and 2 slices of bacon. Add the second patty, then top with another tablespoon of dressing and place the top half of the bun.

Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips for fries.

  2. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  4. 10

    Drain and Season

Remove fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while hot.
