Fried Rice

Method

Fried Rice

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

If using leftover rice, ensure it is cold and separated. If freshly cooked, spread it out on a tray to cool.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

    Sauté Garlic and Kimchi

Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the chopped kimchi and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Rice

Add the cooked rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes, ensuring the rice is well mixed with the kimchi.

  5. 5

    Season the Rice

Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir thoroughly for another 2 minutes.

  6. 6

    Add Green Onions

Stir in the chopped green onions and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  7. 7

    Fry the Eggs

In a separate pan, heat a small amount of oil and fry the eggs sunny-side up or to your preference. Season with salt.

Teri Chicken

  1. 8

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Add the chicken thighs and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 9

    Cook the Chicken

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and caramelized.

  3. 10

    Rest and Slice

Remove the chicken from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into strips.
