Method

Grilled Cheese Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread using 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Sandwich

Place one slice of bread butter-side down in a skillet. Top with two slices of cheddar cheese and then place another slice of bread on top, butter-side up.

  3. 3

    Cook the Sandwich

Heat the skillet over medium heat. Cook the sandwich for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the other side is golden.

  4. 4

    Season

Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper on both sides of the sandwich while cooking.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin fry shapes.

  2. 6

    Season the Fries

In a large bowl, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  3. 7

    Bake the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer.

  4. 8

    Cook the Fries

Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
