Method

Pork Preparation

  1. 1

    Season and Cook the Pork

Rub the pork shoulder with liquid smoke, sea salt, and black pepper. Place it in a slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and shreds easily.

  2. 2

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it cool slightly. Use two forks to shred the meat into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

Nachos Assembly

  1. 3

    Prepare the Nachos

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). On a large baking sheet, spread a layer of tortilla chips evenly.

  2. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

Top the tortilla chips with shredded pork, followed by cheddar jack cheese, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, and black beans.

  3. 5

    Bake the Nachos

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  4. 6

    Add Fresh Toppings

Remove the nachos from the oven and top with sliced jalapeños and chopped cilantro to taste.
