Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cabbage

Remove the core from the cabbage and slice it into thin strips.

  2. 2

    Chop the Onion and Garlic

Dice the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Onion and Garlic

In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 4

    Add the Cabbage

Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet, stirring well to combine with the onion and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the cabbage starts to wilt.

  3. 5

    Incorporate Kalua Pork

Stir in the kalua pork, breaking it up with a spatula. Add the soy sauce and mix well. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the pork to heat through.

  4. 6

    Season and Serve

If desired, sprinkle red pepper flakes for a bit of heat. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
