Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Snapper

Rinse the snapper fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Make the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk together until mixed.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Marinate the Snapper

Place the seasoned snapper fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Snapper

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Remove the snapper from the marinade, letting excess marinade drip off. Cook the fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and golden brown.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate and Garnish

Transfer the cooked snapper to a serving plate. Finely chop the green onions and sprinkle them over the snapper. Add sesame seeds and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
