Method
Prepare Rice

Cook the Rice
In a medium pot, combine 2 cups of white rice and 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Cook for 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.

Cook Eggs
In a separate pan, fry 2 large eggs to your desired doneness (sunny-side up or over easy). Set aside.
Make Brown Gravy

Prepare Gravy
In the skillet, melt 2 tbs of butter over medium heat. Whisk in 2 tbs of all-purpose flour until smooth. Gradually add 2 cups of beef broth, whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Stir in 1 tbs of soy sauce, 0.5 tsp of salt, and 0.5 tsp of black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
