Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Soak the Skewers (if wooden)

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper, paprika, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to create the marinade.

Marinating the Shrimp

  1. 3

    Marinate the Shrimp

Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let it marinate for 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

  2. 5

    Skewer the Shrimp

Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, about 2-3 shrimp per skewer.

  3. 6

    Grill the Shrimp

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Hot

Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a minute. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce or lemon wedges.
