Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Garlic Bread
If using frozen garlic bread, follow package instructions to thaw and prepare it. If using fresh, ensure the bread is prepped with garlic butter.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 2
Layer the Cheese
Take two slices of garlic bread and layer one slice of provolone and one slice of cheddar jack cheese on each. Place the remaining two slices of garlic bread on top to form two sandwiches.
Grilling the Sandwich
- 3
Heat the Pan
In a non-stick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter over medium heat.
- 4
Grill the Sandwich
Once the butter is melted and bubbling, carefully place one sandwich in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip the sandwich, add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet, and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden and the cheese has melted.

Slice and Serve
Once the sandwiches are cooked, remove them from the skillet, slice them diagonally, and serve hot.
