Method

Prepare the Noodles

  1. 1

    Cook the Saimin Noodles

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Add the saimin noodles and cook according to package instructions until just tender, usually about 3-5 minutes. Drain the noodles and set aside.

Prep the Ingredients

  1. 2

    Chop the Proteins and Vegetables

While the noodles are cooking, slice the luncheon meat into small cubes. Cut the fishcake into thin strips. Chop the green onions, mince the garlic, and dice the bell pepper.

Fry the Ingredients

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or wok, heat 3 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Luncheon Meat

Add the cubed luncheon meat to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  3. 5

    Cook the Fishcake

In the same skillet, add the fishcake strips and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until they are slightly crispy. Remove and set aside with the luncheon meat.

  4. 6

    Sauté the Vegetables

Add the minced garlic, chopped green onions, and diced bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until fragrant and the vegetables are tender.

  5. 7

    Combine Everything

Add the cooked saimin noodles, fried luncheon meat, and fishcake back into the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sprinkle black pepper. Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes until well combined and heated through.

Serve

  1. 8

    Plate and Enjoy

Serve the fried saimin hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired. Enjoy your meal!
