Dough

Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Dough

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while mixing until a dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  3. 3

    Rest the Dough

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 30 minutes to allow it to relax.

Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Combine Filling Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Assembling Mandoo

  1. 5

    Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has rested, divide it into small portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle, about 3-4 inches in diameter.

  2. 6

    Fill Mandoo

Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal.

Frying Mandoo

  1. 7

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.

  2. 8

    Fry Mandoo

Carefully add the mandoo to the hot oil, frying in batches. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 9

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried mandoo from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
