Fried Mandoo

Method

Fried Mandoo Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Assemble Mandoo

Take a mandoo wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the pork filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pinch the edges to seal tightly. Repeat this process until all filling is used.

  3. 3

    Fry Mandoo

In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the mandoo in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Ramen Soup Preparation

  1. 4

    Cook Ramen Noodles

In a pot, bring 4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions until tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 5

    Prepare Toppings

While the noodles are cooking, in a separate pot, bring water to a boil and gently lower the eggs in. Boil for about 6-7 minutes for soft-boiled eggs, then remove and place in cold water before peeling.

  3. 6

    Assemble Soup

In serving bowls, place the cooked ramen noodles. Pour hot broth over the noodles. Top with shredded cabbage, sliced kamaboko, soft-boiled eggs, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onion. If desired, add chili paste for a spicy kick.

  4. 7

    Serve

Serve the ramen soup with the fried mandoo on the side as an appetizer.
