Method
For the Fish Burger
- 1
Prepare the Fish Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the white fish fillets, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Use a fork to mash the ingredients together until well combined.
- 2
Form the Patties
Add the breadcrumbs and the egg to the fish mixture. Mix until just combined, then form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- 3
Cook the Patties
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add a little olive oil if desired. Cook the fish patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 4
Assemble the Burgers
Toast the burger buns lightly. On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, a fish patty, a slice of tomato, and a generous spoonful of tartar sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
For the Side Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.
- 6
Season the Fries
In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, and paprika until evenly coated.
- 7
Bake the Fries
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Spread the seasoned potato strips on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until crispy and golden, flipping halfway through.
