Method
Noodles Preparation
- 1
Cook the Saimin Noodles
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the saimin noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually about 4-5 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
- 2
Season the Noodles
In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles with soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped green onions. Toss well to ensure the noodles are evenly coated.
Crispy Wontons
- 3
Prepare the Wontons
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer over medium-high heat. Take a wonton wrapper and place it in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining wonton wrappers.
Korean Chicken
- 4
Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chicken thighs. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Add the minced garlic and Korean BBQ sauce, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to coat the chicken. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before slicing.
Kalbi Preparation
- 5
Marinate the Kalbi
In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame seeds, and sliced green onions. Add the beef short ribs and marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
- 6
Grill the Kalbi
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef short ribs for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Assembly
- 7
Combine Ingredients
In a large serving dish, place the seasoned saimin noodles as the base. Top with sliced Korean chicken and grilled kalbi. Garnish with crispy wontons on top and additional green onions if desired.
