Method

Satay Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine coconut milk, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and lime juice. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate Protein

Cut the choice of chicken, pork, beef, or tofu into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade. Ensure the meat or tofu is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Skewer Protein

After marinating, thread the marinated pieces onto the soaked skewers.

  4. 4

    Grill Satay

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked, turning occasionally.

Green Papaya Salad Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix Salad Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the shredded green papaya, shredded carrot, halved cherry tomatoes, and cut green beans.

  2. 6

    Make Dressing

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the fish sauce, lime juice, and chili flakes to create the dressing.

  3. 7

    Dress Salad

Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss well to combine. Top with crushed peanuts before serving.

Sticky Rice Preparation

  1. 8

    Soak Rice

Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  2. 9

    Steam Rice

Drain the soaked rice and place it in a steamer lined with cheesecloth. Steam for about 30-40 minutes until tender.
