Method

Cooking Rice

  1. 1

    Cook the Rice

In a medium saucepan, combine the white rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender and water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.

Preparing Chopped Steak

  1. 2

    Sauté Onions and Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 3

    Cook the Ground Beef

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

  3. 4

    Season the Beef

Stir in the soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined and heated through. Remove from heat.

Cooking Eggs

  1. 5

    Fry the Eggs

In a small frying pan, heat the butter or oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan, season with a pinch of salt and black pepper, and cook until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny (or to your desired doneness), about 3-4 minutes.

Assembling the Plate

  1. 6

    Plate Your Dish

To assemble, place 1 cup of cooked rice on each plate. Top with a generous portion of the chopped steak mixture. Finally, place a fried egg on top of each serving. Enjoy your Chopped Steak Loco Plate!
