Method

Marinade Ahi Tuna

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, honey, and grated ginger. Whisk until well mixed.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Ahi

Cut the fresh Ahi tuna into bite-sized cubes. Place the cubes in the marinade and cover. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Prepare Bowl Components

  1. 3

    Prepare Rice

Cook jasmine rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, set aside and keep warm.

  2. 4

    Prepare Vegetables

Thinly slice the cucumber and avocado. Halve the cherry tomatoes. Set all prepared vegetables aside.

  3. 5

    Prepare Seaweed Salad

If using store-bought seaweed salad, ensure it's ready to serve. If making from scratch, soak dried seaweed in water for 10 minutes, then drain and season with sesame oil and soy sauce.

Assemble the Bowl

  1. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

In a large bowl or plate, start with a base of cooked jasmine rice. Top with marinated Ahi tuna, cucumber slices, avocado slices, cherry tomatoes, and seaweed salad.

  2. 7

    Add Garnish

Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top. Drizzle with sriracha sauce to taste and serve with lime wedges on the side.
