Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Burger

In a bowl, gently form the ground steak into a patty that is about 8 oz. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger for about 4–5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Add the cheddar slice on top during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Burger

On the Amazing Grains roll, spread the roasted garlic aioli. Add the cooked burger patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the roll.

Frites Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Frites

Cut the potatoes into thin strips to make frites. Rinse them in cold water and pat dry.

  2. 5

    Cook the Frites

Toss the potato strips with olive oil and salt. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy.

Ketchup Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Ketchup

In a saucepan, combine canned tomatoes, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and salt. Simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened. Blend if desired for a smoother texture.
