Burger Patty

Sautéed Mushrooms

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form them into burger patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Sauté the Mushrooms

  1. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are browned and tender. Add the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper, and cook for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 4

    Melt the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking the burger patties, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

  2. 5

    Build the Burger

To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each burger bun. Add the cooked patty with melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, sliced tomato, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
