Prepare the Bruschetta Topping

Chop the Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil and Garlic
Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with tomatoes. Mince the garlic cloves and add them in as well.

Season the Mixture
Pour in the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Let it Marinate
Allow the bruschetta topping to sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.
Prepare the Bread

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice the Bread
Cut the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Bake the Bread Slices
Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Rub with Garlic
Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and immediately rub the top of each slice with a garlic clove for added flavor.
Assemble and Serve

Top the Bread
Spoon the prepared bruschetta topping generously onto each slice of toasted bread.

Serve Immediately
Serve the bruschetta immediately while the bread is still warm. Enjoy!
