Prepare Croutons

Make the Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread slices into small cubes. In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated. Spread the croutons on a baking sheet in a single layer.

Bake the Croutons
Bake the croutons in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Stir halfway through baking for even browning. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Make Caesar Dressing

Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and the 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Assemble Caesar Salad

Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and the prepared Caesar dressing. Toss gently to combine until the lettuce is well coated with the dressing.

Add the homemade croutons to the salad and toss lightly to combine.

Transfer the salad to a serving bowl or individual plates. Top with shaved Parmesan cheese for garnish. Serve immediately.
