Method

Prepare the Bruschetta Topping

  1. 1

    Chop the Tomatoes

Dice the Roma tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Fresh Basil

Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.

  3. 3

    Mince the Garlic

Peel and mince the garlic cloves, then add the minced garlic to the tomato and basil mixture.

  4. 4

    Season the Mixture

Add the extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.

  5. 5

    Let It Marinate

Allow the bruschetta topping to sit for about 15 minutes at room temperature to let the flavors meld.

Prepare the Toast

  1. 6

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 7

    Slice the Baguette

Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/2-inch thick slices.

  3. 8

    Brush with Olive Oil

Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with the extra virgin olive oil.

  4. 9

    Toast the Bread

Toast the bread slices in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.

Assemble the Bruschetta

  1. 10

    Top the Toast

Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the marinated tomato mixture generously over each slice.

  2. 11

    Serve Immediately

Serve the bruschetta immediately while the toast is still warm for the best flavor and texture.
