Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash all the fruits thoroughly. Slice the oranges, lemons, and limes into thin rounds. Cut the peaches into wedges, and slice the strawberries in half. If using fresh pineapple, cut it into small chunks. Place all the fruit in a large pitcher.

  2. 2

    Mix the Sangría

In the pitcher with the fruit, add the red wine and orange juice. Stir gently to combine.

  3. 3

    Add Sweeteners

Add the granulated sugar to the mixture and stir until it is fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.

  4. 4

    Chill

Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld. For best results, chill overnight.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve the Sangría

Before serving, add the soda water or lemon-lime soda to the mixture for a refreshing fizz. Stir gently. Fill glasses with ice and pour the sangría over the ice, making sure to include some fruit in each glass. Garnish with additional fruit slices if desired.
