Burger Patties

Toppings

Buns

Optional Add-Ons

Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1 inch thick. Make a small indent in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cook the Burgers

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Prepare the Buns and Toppings

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

If desired, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Toppings

Rinse the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato and red onion. Set aside.

Assemble the Burger Boards

  1. 7

    Build Your Burger

On a large serving board, arrange the cooked burger patties, toasted buns, and all the toppings. Let everyone build their own burgers by adding their desired toppings, sauces, and optional add-ons.
