Steak and Seasoning

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Pat the grass-fed steak dry with paper towels. Rub the steak with avocado oil, sea salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Make the Steak Rub

In a small bowl, combine onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, guajillo chili powder, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, coriander, and cumin.

  3. 3

    Season the Steak

Sprinkle the steak rub generously over both sides of the steak, pressing it into the meat.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest and Serve

Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with your choice of base, sides, and dressing.
