Octopus Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Octopus

Clean the octopus by removing the beak and insides. Rinse it thoroughly under cold water.

  2. 2

    Boil the Octopus

In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil. Add sea salt and black peppercorns. Gently submerge the octopus into the boiling water and cook for about 30-40 minutes, until tender.

  3. 3

    Cool and Cut

Once cooked, remove the octopus from the pot and let it cool. Once cool, cut the tentacles into bite-sized pieces.

  4. 4

    Sauté the Octopus

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic cloves and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the cut octopus and sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add Lemon and Parsley

Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the sautéed octopus and stir in chopped parsley. Cook for another 2 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve

Sprinkle paprika over the dish and serve warm as an appetizer or main course.
