Toast the pasilla chiles in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant. Once toasted, remove the stems and seeds, then chop them into small pieces.

Cook the Chicken
In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until softened. Add chicken breast and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Combine Ingredients
Stir in the diced tomatoes, corn, chopped pasilla chiles, and vegetable broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Simmer the Soup
Reduce heat and let the soup simmer for about 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through. Remove the chicken, shred it, and return it to the pot.
